As a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a sports marketing degree, I longed for a career that was energetic, fun and rewarding!
Growing up as an athlete I have always enjoyed being active. Because of my interest in sports I choose a career with the Detroit Red Wings after graduation. I was the marketing coordinator for the team and I really enjoyed it because it was such an on the go position. I was always on my feet running to keep the behind the scenes of live television running smoothly. I knew I would never be happy in a career that made me sit still. In 2005 I had my first child and my body took a major hit. I gained 85 pounds with my daughter. I thought pregnancy was a free pass to eat whatever I wanted and lay on the couch watching movies. After carrying the extra weight for over a year and being totally miserable, I decided to hire a trainer and fight like crazy to get my athletic figure back. The strange thing was I enjoyed that time in the gym, I looked forward to my workouts, I grabbed everything written I could get my hands on to learn more about movement, flexibility and healthy eating. I dropped all the weight and kept it off. This is when the light went on. Why couldn’t I earn a living at something I am truly passionate about? So, I became a certified personal trainer and have been training and teaching group fitness classes since March of 2010 and have never looked back.
I still utilize my sports marketing degree to spread the word about Pure Fitness. It’s very rewarding to be able to combine my two interests into one awesome career!

Greg has been changing the way people move for the past 16 years. Ultimately he teaches clients how to build a solid foundation and achieve things they didn’t think possible. His background in engineering and physical therapy ensures that no matter what, he uses science and common sense to solve problems…not gimmicks! Whether you’re an athlete who wants to improve your performance and avoid injury, a former athlete who wants to continue an active lifestyle or just want to learn how to move better and live without pain, Greg is the trainer for you!
